Jann Arden catapulted onto the music scene in 1993 with the release of her debut album, Time For Mercy. Since then, she has released 15 other albums, garnering 19 top-10 singles, and has received eight Juno Awards, including “Female Artist of the Year” and “Songwriter of the Year.” She also has 10 SOCAN Awards and four Western Canadian Music Awards under her belt. Jann has also been named to the Order of Canada, and recognized with a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame. In 2020, she was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Her most recent album, Descendant, was released in 2022. Whether she’s performing music, hosting an event, or telling her deeply personal and affecting stories, Jann’s wisdom and wit shine in everything she does.
Jann is the author of several books, including her bestselling memoir, Falling Backwards, and Feeding My Mother: Comfort and Laughter in the Kitchen as My Mom Lives with Memory Loss. In 2023, she released her debut novel, The Bittlemores.
A multi-talented artist, Jann has also starred in her own television show, Jann, where she played a fictionalized version of herself. She has also made guest appearances on shows such as Wynonna Earp, Private Eyes, and Workin’ Moms.
In 2024, Jann hit the road with Rick Mercer, for their Will They or Won’t They tour. The tour was met with rave reviews for the “free-wheeling, unscripted, unrehearsed and unrestrained discussions” about their lives in the entertainment industry.
