With over 30 years of experience on stage and screen, Todd Talbot is a performer, presenter, and host who feels at home in any setting. Best known for hosting the international hit television show Love It or List It Vancouver, (titled Love It or List It, Too in the US) Todd pours himself into everything he does, whether it’s performing emcee duties at events, partnering on digital and social media campaigns with his valued collaborators, or even swinging a hammer!
An entrepreneur from a young age, Todd is a licensed real estate agent who also owns and manages several properties. With his vast knowledge of the market, he’s often asked by the press for his opinions on real estate trends, and is a passionate voice for functional spaces for real families.
Todd is also a long-time builder and developer who has embraced the future of residential construction by incorporating and sharing how to construct using advanced Passive House principles, which revolve around using smart building design to conserve energy and maximize heating and cooling effectiveness.
Sadly, Todd and his family lost their “EhFrame” cabin in the McDougall Creek Wildfire in 2023, which has elevated Todd’s quest beyond just sustainability, to also address the impending challenges of climate change. In fall 2024, Todd stars in Cottage Life’s Todd Talbot Builds: The Passive House Project, which follows Todd and his family through their incredibly emotional home building journey. The series highlights the urgency for more sustainable, resilient homes to combat the climate crisis amid the growing threat of globally devastating wildfires.
Todd lives in Vancouver with his wife, two children, and their dog Penny.
